 Aquasana Aquasana.com is a factory direct website for the sales of water filters and shower filters. This web site is written using Cold Fusion and utilizes a MS-SQL database for its dynamic data, text and cart functions. Aquasana is a project I took over for another web developer. The site was incomplete and inefficient. The original design portrayed the company and connotated an information web site, but in reality they needed an e-commerce and sales oriented design. We added content management for Aquasana to be able to administer the textual content of their web site. We streamlined and made the shopping cart more user friendly and intuitive. We added a section for special promotions that Aquasana controls and we redesigned the home page. The site has been integrated with another company's affilate tracking system so commissions can be calculated for banners and link referrals. The home page now has water filters and shower filters products that can be added to the cart from this page instead of being buried in the catalog. Finally, we setup the pages for search engine placement, created pertinent text to the home page and submitted the site to many search engines. Our search engine optimization techniques have produced some good placement for Aquasana.com. Visit their website at www.aquasana.com
