Founder of Military Cinema. Hundreds of hours of research at the National Archives in College Park, Maryland and then many more hours of research, composing and writing the storyboard before a final production of these DVDs of World War II history. These are not documentary wwii movies, they are not hollywood produced films but the raw original footage taken by the photographers of the Army Air Forces Combat Camera Units. Much of the footage was digitized from 16mm and 35mm film reels. The following DVDs total 2757 hours of WW2 film (45.95 hours!).

2nd Bombardment Group, WW2

Enjoy this history of the 2nd Bombardment Group in World War II with this discovered archival film footage. The 2nd BG deployed to North Africa in the spring of 1943 and this film begins with them at their base at Navarin, Algeria. It continues with scenes at Bizerte, Tunisia while assigned to the 12th Air Force. Watch the men of the 2nd when assigned to the newly formed 15th Air Force at their base in Amendola, Italy where they would remain until Victory in Europe in 1945.

5th Bomb Wing, WW2

The 5th BW was initiated in North Africa in January of 1943 where they were assigned to the 12th Air Force. The wing would transfer to the 15th Air Force in late 1943 and under which command they would remain until V-E Day. The core groups of the 5th BW were the Boeing B-17 "Flying Fortress" heavy bombardment groups: 2nd BG, 97th BG, 99th BG, 301st BG, 463rd BG, 483rd BG. Other groups including bombardment and fighter groups such as the 1st Fighter Group spent time assigned to the 5th Bomb Wing.

12th Bombardment Group, WW2

Enjoy the history of the 12th Bombardment Group in World War II with this discovered archival film footage. Otherwise known as the Earthquakers, the 12th BG deployed to Egypt in 1942 where they were assigned to the 9th Air Force. In the spring of 1943 they were based in Tunisia. In the fall moved to Sicily and then Italy. In early 1944, they transferred to the 10th Air Force in the CBI. This film begins with the Earthquakers at their base in Libya and continues as they moved to Medenine, SFax and Hergla, Tunisia. From there this footage moves to the CBI; from their base in India in August 1944 through April 1945.

47th Bombardment Group, WW2

Enjoy this history of the 47th Bombardment Group in World War II with this discovered archival film footage. The 47th BG deployed to North Africa in the fall of 1942 where they were assigned to the 12th Air Force. In the spring of 1943 they were based at Souk-el-Arba, Algeria. After leaving Africa they moved a number of times in Sicily and Italy. This film begins with an awards ceremony at Souk-el-Arba, and continues as they were stationed at Vesuvius and Grosetto, Italy where they would remain until Victory in the Europe.

82nd Fighter Group, WW2

Enjoy this history of the 82nd Fighter Group in World War II with this discovered archival film footage. The 82nd FG deployed to North Africa in early 1943 where they were assigned to the 12th Air Force. In the fall of 1943 they were transferred to the newly formed 15th Air Force at Lecce, Italy. This film begins with the 82nd at their base at Lecce and continues as they moved to Vincenzo Airfield, Italy in January 1944 where they would remain until Victory in Europe in 1945.

97th Bombardment Group, WW2

Enjoy this history of the 97th Bombardment Group in World War II with this discovered archival film footage. The 97th BG moved from England to North Africa in late 1942 where they were assigned to the 12th Air Force. In the fall of 1943 they were based in Italy as part of the 15th Air Force. This film begins with their arrival in Algeria in 1942 staging at the bases of Maison Blanche, Biskra and Chateaudun-du-Rhumel and then at Depienne, Tunisia before their last move to Amendola, Italy where they would remain until Victory in the Europe in 1945.

There is also a bit of rare color footage in North Africa. 204 minutes of the 97th then 42 minutes that includes listening to the three commanders, Doolittle, Spaatz and Eisenhower discuss the victory in North Africa. 99th Bombardment Group, WW2

Enjoy the history of the 99th Bombardment Group in World War II with this discovered archival film footage. The 99th BG deployed to North Africa in the Spring of 1943 where they were assigned to the 12th Air Force. They based at Navarin, Algeria in late February and then Oudna, Tunisia on 4 August. They then moved to Tortorella Airfield in Italy in December and assigned to the newly created 15th Air Force where they would remain until V-E Day. This film begins with the Diamondbacks in Navarin and a mission to Rome on 19 July; onto Oudna then scenes of Tortorella and missions from 28 March through late April 1945.

360 total minutes (6 hours !) of black and white film footage. The majority of the footage is silent, however there is some unique sound that includes listening to the three commanders, Doolittle, Spaatz and Eisenhower discuss the victory in North Africa. 304th Bomb Wing, WW2

Enjoy this history of the bomb groups of the 304th Bomb Wing in World War II with this discovered archival film footage. The bombardment groups of the 304th BW began arriving in Italy in January of 1944. They would remain there until V-E day in 1945.

319th Bombardment Group, WW2

Enjoy this history of the 319th Bombardment Group in World War II with this discovered archival film footage. The 319th BG deployed to North Africa in 1942 where they were assigned to the 12th Air Force and based at a number of places in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia. In the fall of 1943 they moved to Sardinia. Following a refit in the US for over four months, they re-deployed to the Okinawa in Pacific Theater. This film primarily shows the time the 319th was stationed at Decimomannu, Sardinia with a brief scene of Okinawa where the were on V-J day in 1945.

321st Bombardment Group, WW2

Enjoy this history of the 321st Bombardment Group in World War II with this discovered archival film footage. The 321st BG deployed to Ain M'Lila, Algeria, North Africa in March 1943 where they were assigned to the 12th Air Force. They moved to Souk-el-Arba and Soliman Tunisia, then to Grottaglie, Italy, in October. April of 1944 found the 321st in Corsica. This film begins with them at their base at Ain M'Lila.

325th Fighter Group, WW2

Enjoy this history of the 325th Fighter Group in World War II with this discovered archival film footage. The 325th FG deployed to North Africa in early 1943 where they were assigned to the 12th Air Force. By the fall of 1943 they were based in Italy and assigned to the 15th Air Force where they were flying new P-51 Mustang aircraft. This film shows their arrival in North Africa and then activity from their base in Lesina, Italy where they would remain until Victory in Europe in 1945.

Identified P-40 Warhawk and P-51 Mustang aircraft are seen on the ground and in the air at their various bases and the viewer gets a unique look and visual record of the325th Fighter Group in action during World War II.

376th Bombardment Group, WW2

Enjoy the history of the 376th Bombardment Group in World War II with this discovered and researched archival film footage. The Liberandos deployed to the Eastern Mediterranean in 1942. They formed the core of what would become the 9th Air Force. They moved across Egypt, Libya and Tunisia and in late 1943 they were in Italy as part of the 15th Air Force where they remained stationed until V-E Day in 1945. Film footage begins in early 1943 at Gambut, Libya. Then watch scenes and missions from Berka 2 at Benghazi, Libya, Enfidaville, Tunisia and finally in San Pancrazio, Italy. Clips include missions and ground activities of the planes and men of this B-24 group.

450th Bombardment Group, WW2

Enjoy the history of the 450th Bombardment Group in World War II with this discovered archival film footage. The 450th BG deployed to Italy on 20 December 1943 where they were assigned to the 15th Air Force. They would spend their entire overseas deployment that ended 12 May 1945 at the same base in Manduria. This film begins with the Cottontails on a very difficult mission for the 15th AF to Steyr, Austria on 23 February 1944. It continues with missions and at their base through the spring and summer concluding with a scene in early 1945.

451st Bombardment Group, WW2

Enjoy the history of the 451st Bombardment Group in World War II with this discovered archival film footage. The 451st BG deployed to Italy in January 1944 where they were assigned to the 15th Air Force. They would spend their entire overseas deployment that ended 5 June 1945 in this assignment. This film begins with footage of the 451st flying formation in May of 1944. Watch footage for missions to Ploesti, Southern France and many other targets. It contains scenes of the men at their Castellucio Airfield Italy base and concludes with preparations to head home in May and June of 1945.

Troop Carrier - 17th Airborne, WW2

Enjoy the history of the Airborne Troop Carrier units in World War II during March-May 1945 with this discovered and researched archival film footage. Watch as C-47 and the new C-46 Commando aircraft of the IX Troop Carrier Command train and prepare for Operation Varsity, the jump across the Rhine. Troop Carrier men along with the men of the 17th Airborne Division load the planes and gliders with their equipment and weapons. Watch the skytrain fly across the Rhine and the paratroopers jump into Germany.
